Program Description

This program seeks to elevate agroecology on the Ugandan agenda of sustainable development of farming and food systems. It involves advocacy efforts targeted at policymakers, government officials, and the general public. This includes awareness campaigns, policy discussions, and lobbying for supportive policies and initiatives.

Program Activities

i. Organize advocacy campaigns and public events to mobilize support for integrating agroecology into national agricultural policies and programs.
ii. Form partnerships with other civil society organizations and grassroots movements to amplify advocacy efforts.
iii. Produce policy briefs and reports highlighting the benefits of agroecology and providing evidence-based recommendations for policy action.
iv. Engage with government officials, policymakers, and stakeholders to prioritize agroecology in agricultural development plans.
v. Conduct awareness campaigns targeting policymakers and the general public on the importance of agroecology for sustainable food systems.
