Program Description

This program aims to build an economy where people, healthy food systems, and the environment take precedence. It involves promoting ethical consumerism, supporting local food networks, advocating for policies that incentivize sustainable farming practices and prioritize environmental conservation, collaborating with businesses and organizations committed to sustainable food production and distribution, and conducting research on the socioeconomic impacts of agroecology.

Program Activities

i. Advocate for policies prioritizing the well-being of people and the environment over corporate profits in the food and agriculture sector.
ii. Collaborate with businesses and organizations committed to sustainable food production and distribution.
iii. Conduct research on the socioeconomic impacts of agroecology and advocate for policies prioritizing people's well-being and environmental health.
iv. Support community-led initiatives for food sovereignty and local food systems development.
v. Promote agroecological approaches to food production, distribution, and consumption that prioritize nutrition, sustainability, and social equity.
vi. Foster partnerships with ethical food retailers, restaurants, and food service providers to promote sustainable food choices and support local producers.
vii. Advocate for policies incentivizing sustainable farming practices and prioritizing environmental conservation.
