Mobilizer
She is committed to mobilization and striving for excellence in advocating for the empowerment and establishment of this network in Uganda. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Environment and Disaster Management, she has actively participated in various environmental initiatives across diverse organizations and institutions. Her primary emphasis has been on initiating efforts for environmental protection and conservation, particularly focusing on landscape management.
Doreen has played a crucial role in promoting the cultivation of nitrogen-fixing trees such as Griveria species and avocados, which have notably mitigated food shortages and enhanced income levels in the communities she serves. In collaboration with environmental projects, Doreen has been a steadfast proponent for the enduring implementation of large-scale involvement in environmentally friendly food security measures. Her endeavors extend beyond Uganda, with a vision to ensure sustainable food systems for all communities, both locally and globally.

She is a passionate student specializing in Agribusiness Management. With a Diploma in Agriculture from Bukalasa Agricultural College and ongoing pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Nimusiima combines academic rigor with practical experience. Her tenure at Kawanda National Agricultural Research Laboratories and Kachwekano Zonal Agricultural Research and Development Institute reflects her dedication to advancing agricultural research and innovation, honing her expertise and understanding of the sector.
As General Secretary, Nimusiima fosters collaboration and coordination within the organization, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication among stakeholders. Beyond administrative duties, she champions sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship, advocating for agroecological principles to drive positive change.
