Program Description

This program focuses on integrating research, education, training, and business innovations to sustain rural and urban livelihoods and environments. It includes establishing community-based agroecology hubs, developing agroecology-based business models, offering training programs on entrepreneurship and business management, and implementing agroecology initiatives in both rural and urban settings

Program Activities

i. Establish agroecology training centers or hubs offering a comprehensive approach to sustainable agriculture, encompassing research, education, training, and business development.
ii. Conduct market research and value chain analysis to identify opportunities for diversifying and scaling up agroecological enterprises.
iii. Partner with local businesses and entrepreneurs to foster the development and promotion of innovative agroecological products and services.
iv. Provide mentorship and support specifically tailored for youth and women entrepreneurs engaged in agroecology-related businesses.
v. Implement agroecology initiatives in both rural and urban settings to effectively address issues of food security and environmental sustainability.
